Esvama strengthens its sustainable polymer offering through new partnership with GCR
Esvama is pleased to announce a new partnership with GCR, a producer of sustainable plastic solutions and the company behind CICLIC® and GRANIC®.
Through this collaboration, Esvama becomes GCR’s distribution partner, helping make high-quality recycled polyolefins and advanced mineral masterbatch solutions more accessible to processors across the Nordic market.
GCR: Sustainable plastic solutions backed by two decades of recycling expertise
Founded in 2001 and headquartered in La Bisbal del Penedès, Tarragona, Spain, GCR develops sustainable plastic solutions for brand owners and plastic processors, including advanced mineral masterbatches and recycled polyolefins and compounds.
With more than 20 years of experience, the company combines material science, innovation and quality to advance more sustainable and circular material solutions. GCR also relies on life cycle assessments, including cradle-to-gate assessments in accordance with ISO 14040, to give clients transparent, documented evidence of the environmental impact of their material solutions.
A partnership built on local knowledge and sustainable material solutions
Demand for recycled polyolefins and sustainable masterbatches continues to grow across the plastics industry. For many processors, this creates a need for material partners who can combine product expertise, supply capability and local market understanding.
This is where the partnership between Esvama and GCR creates a strong fit. Esvama brings local knowledge, customer relationships and distribution experience across the Nordic polymer market, while GCR contributes with a product portfolio focused on recycled and resource-efficient plastic solutions.
“The Nordic market has strong sustainability drivers and a sophisticated industrial base. With ESVAMA’s deep local knowledge and focus on sustainable polymer distribution, we have the right partner to support potential customers in the region as they look to advance their use of recycled and lower-carbon materials,” says Jesús Santamaría, Chief Growth Officer at GCR.
Bringing CICLIC® and GRANIC® closer to Nordic processors
Through the collaboration, Esvama will support the distribution of two core product lines from GCR’s portfolio: CICLIC® and GRANIC®.
CICLIC® is GCR’s portfolio of high-quality recycled polyolefins. It enables plastic processors to integrate recycled content with the performance and reliability required for demanding applications, while supporting compliance targets and broader sustainability commitments.
GRANIC® is GCR’s advanced mineral masterbatch. It helps plastic processors reduce virgin polymer consumption, improve processing efficiency and lower energy consumption, while supporting lower-carbon applications and maintaining or enhancing mechanical performance.
Together, these solutions give processors access to materials that can support both production performance and sustainability goals.
Strengthening Esvama’s sustainable polymer portfolio
For Esvama, the partnership is a positive step in continuing to develop its sustainable polymer offering and giving customers access to a broader range of material solutions.
“We are pleased to begin this collaboration with GCR. Their product portfolio fits well with the direction we are working towards as a distributor, and gives us further opportunities to support customers looking for sustainable polymer solutions that are both technically relevant and commercially practical,” says Christopher Holtenfjord, Sales and Marketing Director at Esvama.
